Catalin Rasvan

? Catalin
Rasvan studied piano from the age of 4, studies completed at the Bucharest Music
Academy with courses in composition, musicology and musical pedagogy. He has
worked as arranger, composer and instrumentalist.
? Catalin Rasvan played
bass since high school. He started to play in heavy metal and new wave
bands, then joined saxophone player Dan Mindrila in his jazz band. He played in
jazz bands lead by artists such as: Tom SMITH, Rick CONDITT, Christian Ancher
GRON, Peter WERTHAIMER, Craig BAYLEY, Stjepko GUT, Nicolas SIMION, Mircea
TIBERIAN, Tudy ZAHARESCU, Garbis DEDEIAN, in rhythm and blues bands like Blue
Spirit (with Mike Godoroja, Adi Manolovici and Vali Vatuiu), and also in rock
bands such us Timpuri Noi (with Adrian Plesca, Dan Iliescu and Catalin Neagu).

? Member of
Romanian Composers and Musicologists Association.
? He worked as demo
musician for ROLLAND and as musical secretary of the Romanian Army Art Ensemble.
? In 2004 he joined George Baicea Blues Band. At the end of 2005 George
Baicea Blues Band participated at Blues Festival Bluzau, Buzau and at the
International Jazz Festival Brasov. In February 2006 the band participated at
International Blues Festival Sighisoara, in May 2006, at Jazz Recall Festival,
Cluj Napoca and July 2006 at Garana International Jazz Festival.
